Ahead of a reported £26m bid, Arsenal continued to scout Danilo of Palmeiras, reportedly watching him on Wednesday night as they beat Athletico Paranaense 3-1 away.

Danilo, however, was taken off at half-time in a double-change with his side one-nil down.

On came Endrick, a 16-year-old who has also been linked with Arsenal, but whom the club don’t actually seem to have any real interest in at present.

Abel Ferreira’s tactical changes worked quickly as the teenager scored two within 25 minutes, setting Palmeiras on their way to victory.

As for Danilo, he is said to be possibility as one of three signings Arsenal will try to make in January after a move for him in August didn’t work out.

A wide forward and a left-sided centreback are also said to be on Arsenal’s shopping list with Mykhaylo Mudryk and Evan Ndicka mentioned for both positions, respectively.
