The Premier LeagueBBC, and WhoScored have included William Saliba and Martin Odegaard in their Teams of the Week for the third round of Premier League matches, after Arsenal’s victory away to Bournemouth.

Garth Crooks writes for the BBC that Saliba’s goal was “quite brilliant”, adding that the defender “certainly knows how to make an impact”.

WhoScored highlight Saliba’s 100% pass success rate from 73 passes, as well as his goal.

As for Odegaard, Crooks says: “There is something rather cultured about Odegaard’s game. He never seems too rushed and he is very comfortable on the ball.”

WhoScored point out Odegaard’s three aerial duels won, on top of his two well-taken goals on the day.

Arsenal saw Gabriel Jesus, William Saliba, and Aaron Ramsdale feature in Teams of the Week for their opening game against Crystal Palace, before Jesus and Granit Xhaka made it in for their performances against Leicester City.

After three weeks in a row with at least two Arsenal participants across the various team selections, the task now is to keep that run going with another good performance against Fulham on Saturday.
