Hector Bellerin is not against signing for Barcelona this summer, amid reports that they want to bring him in before the deadline.

Spanish journalist Darío Montero G. reports that Hector Bellerin doesn’t view signing for Barcelona “with bad eyes”. The Arsenal right-back is evidently open to the move, amid growing links between the two parties.

Sport reported this week that Barcelona have requested Bellerin wait for them until the end of the transfer window, as he’s their most viable option for a signing at right-back.

Gerard Romero claims any Barcelona move for Bellerin would be a free transfer, and he’d receive a net salary of €5m.

Romero had previously claimed there’s a growing feeling that Arsenal defender Bellerin will join the La Liga club in the final days of the window, with the chances of a move increasing.

Marca wrote that Bellerin is one of the options Barcelona are considering, making enquiries in recent days.

Earlier in the window, most of the transfer links involving Bellerin were to Real Betis, and the only question seemed to be whether or not the La Liga side would pay a fee.

But as time has gone by, Barcelona have increasingly taken over the media speculation.

The suggestion is that neither of the Spanish teams are actually willing to pay a transfer fee for Bellerin, as they want a free transfer. That’s seemingly the reason for the delays, to weaken Arsenal’s negotiating position.

With only eight days left of the window, they can’t delay much longer.
