Arsenal are expecting to offload Ainsley Maitland-Niles before deadline day, with four clubs joining West Ham United in the race.

Ryan Taylor reports for the Express that Mikel Arteta has made it clear to Ainsley Maitland-Niles that the midfielder isn’t part of his future plans, and Arsenal are expecting to move the player on before the summer deadline.

As of yet, Arsenal haven’t received any offers for the 24-year-old, but there seems to be some interest.

After reports linking Maitland-Niles to West Ham in recent days, Taylor adds Bournemouth, Fulham, and two unnamed European clubs to the list of suitors.

The Express report adds that a loan move with a one-year contract extension is another possibility. We’ve seen that with Reiss Nelson before, so it’s not something unprecedented for Arsenal.

Ideally, West Ham and Moyes want a loan deal, according to ExWHUemployee of The West Ham Way. But a permanent move is more likely at this stage, which is still tempting to the Hammers.

Either way, Arsenal won’t be bringing in much money for Maitland-Niles this summer, as the price tag could be below £10m.

Football.London wrote last week that Arsenal are willing to listen to offers for Maitland-Niles.

The midfielder/right-back doesn’t appear to have much of a future in North London. He played some part in pre-season, but not a significant amount, and he was left out of Arsenal’s opening games of the league campaign.
