Takehiro Tomiyasu has returned to London as Arsenal prepare to welcome back their remaining internationals this week.
Many of Arsenal’s squad were already out on tour in Germany this week, but a number of the internationals remained absent.
Aaron Ramsdale, Takehiro Tomiyasu, William Saliba, Bukayo Saka, Martin Odegaard, Granit Xhaka, and Lucas Torreira are all yet to rejoin training with the Gunners, but they should be returning this week.
UDN Sports confirmed on their Instagram story on Saturday that Tomiyasu was flying back to London for his reunion with the squad, and many of the others will have been making that same journey this weekend.
Saka is already in London, spending the last of his holiday watching Cameron Norrie take on Novak Djokovic at Wimbledon on Friday.
Torreira’s agent has confirmed the midfielder has been called up for the tour of the US. Odegaard and Saliba have been spotted taking part in individual training sessions ahead of their comeback dates.
Assuming all seven players make their returns this week, Mikel Arteta will have almost all of his squad available for the rest of the pre-season preparations.
Arsenal fans will hope there are still a few incomings and outgoings to come, but the bulk of the squad can get going in preparation for the new season.
