Fabrizio Romano reports that Arsenal and Manchester City now have an agreement in place for the £30m transfer of Oleksandr Zinchenko. Only personal terms stand between the Gunners and their next signing.

Sky Sports report that Arsenal are hopeful and confident of completing a deal as early as the beginning of next week, and personal terms aren’t expected to be a problem.

For the time being, Zinchenko has travelled with the Manchester City squad on their pre-season tour. But that shouldn’t delay a deal, as City are on tour in the U.S., just like Arsenal.

If the Gunners can find an agreement with Zinchenko quickly, they could have him hop on a domestic flight to finalise the deal and get him involved in the next few pre-season matches.

The Daily Mail’s Jack Gaughan had reported that Zinchenko was previously resistant to leaving, but he’s now hoping for more minutes and likely to move on.

The Mail and the Manchester Evening News both emphasised Zinchenko’s strong relationship with Mikel Arteta, which should help with the personal terms.

Zinchenko can play at left-back or in midfield, along with a couple of other positions. He made 28 appearances for City last season, including 18 starts in all competitions.

Right now, Arsenal primarily need Zinchenko at left-back, as Kieran Tierney continues to recover from his injury setbacks.
