Eddie Nketiah has now signed a new contract with Arsenal to June 2027, with an official statement finally coming on Saturday.

Fabrizio Romano reported on Friday that Eddie Nketiah had now signed his new contract to 2027 with Arsenal, with the deal now completed and sealed following a verbal agreement days ago.
Nketiah turned down multiple bids from the Bundesliga and the Premier League to stay with the Gunners.
On Saturday afternoon, Arsenal confirmed the new deal.
Mikel Arteta, said: “I’m delighted Eddie is staying with us. He represents what we are all about and all the values of the club. We are very happy that he has extended his contract and now we have to get to work and continue to develop the great talent and person that we have in him.”
Edu, added: “The foundations of this squad are built on young talent and in particular those who have come through our Academy system. Eddie was released by another club as a young man but has always shown he has the attitude as well as the ability to become a top player. The fact he’s signed a new contract is an important part of our squad planning for next season and we’re all delighted.”
The Evening Standard broke the news on Thursday that Nketiah had finally agreed terms on a new contract. Crystal Palace were particularly keen on the striker before he decided to commit to Arsenal.
The Times confirmed that Arsenal had agreed a long-term deal, with Goal also writing that Mikel Arteta had managed to convince the young forward to stay.
Arsenal’s announcement was combined with a change in number for Nketiah, moving from 30 to the legendary 14 jersey.

Arsenal reportedly handed Nketiah a deal worth up to £100k-a-week, including a £5m signing-on bonus spread over the course of the deal.
