Arsenal have been linked with Julian Brandt for quite some time now.

Managers come and go yet still the attacking midfielder continues to be linked, although it has been 12 months or so since that last happened.

Brandt is under contract with Borussia Dortmund until 2024 but is widely expected to leave the German club this summer for a price somewhere in the region of £16.5m.

The 25-yer-old has seven goals and 10 assists in 38 games across all competitions this season but has been earmarked for an exit as Borussia Dortmund look to rebuild their squad following a trophyless campaign.

It is claimed that a move to the Premier League is Brandt’s ‘primary goal’ should he opt to leave the Bundesliga with his versatility said to appeal to Mikel Arteta.
