Kicker report that Arsenal continue to hold an interest in Borussia Dortmund’s Julian Brandt ahead of the summer window. The 25-year-old hasn’t had the most convincing season, so he’s at a bit of a crossroads in terms of his next career steps.

With new Dortmund manager Marco Rose taking over in the summer, Brandt could decide to stick around. The change in management is likely to offer him a fresh start.

A transfer is also still on the cards for the right price, but Brandt has a contract until 2024, so the Bundesliga club aren’t just giving him away.

David Ornstein confirmed Arsenal’s interest in the midfielder back in January, admitting the club had ‘considered’ a move for Brandt. Christian Falk has since claimed the player would cost around €25m.

Kicker are claiming Arsenal are still in the mix this summer, but reports in England suggest Emi Buendia is the current midfield priority if the Gunners can’t bring in Martin Odegaard permanently. Perhaps Brandt is the backup option.
