Arsenal loanee Jordi Osei-Tutu has struggled to complete 90 minutes this month, but he’s yet to miss a game for Rotherham United in April as they chase automatic promotion.

Osei-Tutu was spotted on crutches after Rotherham’s game against Portsmouth on April 12th, but he returned to play almost the full game against Ipswich the following weekend.

After that, the 23-year-old could only complete 33 minutes of his next start against Burton Albion, but once again he bounced back to play a full 90 four days later.

In his most recent appearance, Osei-Tutu came off with 13 minutes remaining against Sunderland. He now faces a race to get fit for Rotherham United’s vital final game of the regular season on Saturday.

Rotherham travel away to relegation-threatened Gillingham, knowing a win will ensure promotion to the Championship.

A draw or even a defeat may be enough, but either result would give MK Dons the chance to steal promotion with a win of their own.

If Osei-Tutu can make one last speedy recovery and help Rotherham up to the Championship, he’ll be rewarded with a well-earned break. If they slip up, however, his season will continue with a play-off run.

Osei-Tutu has probably already had the highlight of his spell with Rotherham, as he scored a vital goal to help them pick up the EFL Trophy at Wembley. But there’s still the possibility he might end up back at the same ground next month.
