Real Madrid winger Marco Asensio has received an offer from Arsenal for a summer transfer, according to his entourage.

With his deal expiring in 2023 and no agreement over an extension, Marco Asensio is seemingly starting to review his options for a summer departure.
Italian outlet Sport Mediaset report that AC Milan are serious about signing Asensio and starting to make concrete moves for the player, but they aren’t the only ones.
Quotes from Asensio’s camp suggest that a future move to Milan is a possibility, and the player is proud to draw interest from the Serie A club. Yet they have other options.
“There are also offers from a couple of English clubs, including Arsenal, we are ready to evaluate every possibility,” Asensio’s entourage reportedly told Sport Mediaset.
Asensio hasn’t made a decision at this stage, and he’ll only do so towards the end of the season. Real Madrid want an answer on his potential contract extension to stay with them by the end of the campaign.
If Asensio does leave, Real are looking for €25-30m for his sale. Arsenal were also linked with him last summer.

The 26-year-old Spaniard is yet another left-footed right-sided forward.
Arsenal already have Bukayo Saka, Nicolas Pépé, and former Real Madrid man Martin Ødegaard could probably play there too, as well as academy options like Omari Hutchinson, yet they continue to be linked with players in the same position anyway.
Perhaps that suggests Pépé’s long-term future may not be at Arsenal, but it would still make more sense to see links to players on the other side or at centre-forward.
Having said that, Asensio is certainly a good player, and he’s hit double figures for goals this season.
If the winger’s expiring contract has him available for less than you’d usually expect, that might be drawing Arsenal’s attention.
