Arsenal have been linked with a move for Real Madrid’s Marco Asensio, but according to a report from France, all the rumours are coming from the UK media.

Mundo Deportivo call Arsenal ‘Asensio’s last suitor’ but how much truth there is to Arsenal’s alleged interest is hard to gauge.

Real Madrid are open to selling the 25-year-old winger who signed for them in 2016 as long as they can get around €60m for the player who is only worth around €37m.

MD note that it is “According to The Mirror and The Sun,” that Arsenal could sign Asensio this summer, so hardly the most reliable of outlets.

Everton, Leeds and Leicester are all supposed to be interested as well.

Arsenal have long been linked with a move for Asensio but there has been nothing of substance since around 2017 when his £72m release clause was confirmed.

Asensio also apparently turned Arsenal down in 2014.
