The Mirror reported this week that Hector Bellerin wants his loan switch to Real Betis to be made permanent. He’s keen for Arsenal to reach an agreement with Betis, and he’s prepared to accept a wage cut to make it happen.

Over in Spain, Sport (via Sport Witness) claim Betis are very happy with the player’s performances, and they will try to keep him beyond his loan spell.

Manuel Pellegrini’s side are already in talks with Arsenal, who are asking for €10m.

Bellerin had his first chance to win silverware with Betis at the weekend, facing off against Valencia in the Copa del Rey final.

Bellerin was named in the Real Betis starting lineup, and he quickly rewarded that decision from Manuel Pellegrini by providing an assist in the 11th minute.

After an eventual win on penalties, Bellerin joined his Betis teammates in lifting the trophy.

This is likely to be the highlight of Bellerin’s loan spell at Betis, but he still has something to play for in the final five games of his loan.

The Spanish side are four points off the top-four and the Champions League qualification places. Their Copa del Rey win secures them Europa League football at a minimum, but the Champions League dream isn’t dead yet.
