Real Madrid, Inter Milan, and AC Milan are all interested in William Saliba, but Arsenal are more likely to keep him this summer, according to reports.

Calcio Mercato (via GFFN) report that Arsenal loanee William Saliba is drawing interest from Inter Milan and AC Milan, and Real Madrid have even made contact with Arsenal over the feasibility of a potential summer move.

Marseille would obviously like to keep the centre-back after his strong loan spell this season so far, but that seems unlikely at the moment.

Calcio Mercato add that Arsenal may be more inclined to keep Saliba after his impressive performances this season.

Goal report that Arsenal continue to insist Saliba remains a key part of their future, and that his development in France has justified their strategy with him so far.

Talks are planned for this summer, and they’re expected to include discussions over a new contract.

The Athletic recently reported that Arsenal will be in a position where they arguably need to renew or sell Saliba this summer.

The same outlet suggested Saliba is currently intending to return to Arsenal next season and compete for a first-team place.

But there’s no indication yet of whether he’ll be willing to sign a new deal.

Former Arsenal academy striker Stephy Mavididi had a lot praise for Saliba recently.

“He’s hands down one of the best defenders in the league,” Mavididi said. “I think he’ll walk back into the Arsenal team next season.

“When I played against him, I thought ‘how is this guy not at Arsenal?’”

Saliba has made 29 appearances for Marseille already this season, the most senior appearances he’s made in any campaign in his career.

If you include youth games, Saliba technically played 30 times in 2020/21, so he needs two more games this year to make this his busiest season since breaking into professional football.
