Omar Rekik and Zak Swanson are two more Arsenal youth players set for loan moves on deadline day, according to a report.

Football.London report that as well as Nikolaj Moller’s loan to Den Bosch and Tim Akinola’s loan to Dundee United, Omar Rekik and Zak Swanson are also expected to earn temporary transfers on deadline day.

Both Rekik and Swanson have been available for loan moves all month, though Rekik has faced the welcome complication of his run to the latter stages of AFCON in the last few weeks.

Sadly for Rekik and Tunisia, they exited the competition to Burkina Faso on Saturday.

The upside is that freed Rekik up for the end of the transfer window, and he’s now reportedly close to securing a loan.

As for Swanson, his potential loan seems to be in a similar position. It would be the 21-year-old’s second temporary transfer, after he spent a couple of months with MVV Maastricht in 2020.

That loan ended early, and Swanson spent the rest of last season sidelined with injury. But he’s made 13 appearances for the Arsenal academy this campaign, and he looks ready for another loan.

At this stage, there’s still no word on where either player is heading, but we should know more as the day goes on.
