Tim Akinola is set to join Dundee United on loan for the rest of the season, after reportedly changing his agent in the last few days.

The Courier broke the news that Arsenal youth midfielder Tim Akinola will join Scottish Premiership club Dundee United FC in a deadline-day loan. Football.London’s Chris Wheatley has since confirmed the reports on Twitter.
All Nigeria Soccer wrote at the weekend that Akinola had changed his agent to Next Generation Agency, in an indication of a potential incoming loan move.
The player himself then hinted that he was on the way to his new club with a video on a plane on his Instagram story on Sunday night.
A January loan has long been planned for Akinola, with rumours as early as October that the club were planning to send him out on a temporary basis this month.
But it’s going right down to the wire now, with Arsenal trying to complete the Dundee United move before Monday’s deadline.
Akinola’s contract was set to expire in 2022, but those same loan rumours suggested Arsenal would activate the one-year extension (to 2023) in his deal before sending him out.

Dundee United sit seventh in the Scottish Premiership, but just four points off fourth place. They still have a lot to play for in the second half of the season, and they’ll hope Akinola can have a positive impact on their fortunes.
