Bukayo Saka got another start for Arsenal this weekend, following his goal and assist in the North London derby the previous time out.

The 20-year-old completed the vast majority of the full 90, but he had to be withdrawn in the final minutes after seemingly picking up an injury. Fortunately, Mikel Arteta had good news on that front after the game.

“He’s fine,” Arteta assured his press conference. “He got a knock but he should be fine.”

One positive of the timing of the knock is that we’ll get a better idea of the extent of the problem through Saka’s participation with England, before the next Arsenal game comes around.

Saka has been called up for Gareth Southgate’s squad along with summer signing Aaron Ramsdale, so he’ll be involved in a couple of matchday squads between now and Arsenal hosting Crystal Palace on October 18th.

First up, England play Andorra away on Saturday, 9th October. Then they’ll host Hungary on Tuesday, 12th October. Both games are at 19:45 BST.

From an Arsenal point of view, it would be nice if Saka was involved in those games just enough to prove he’s fit and not enough to risk aggravating whatever the problem is!
