Miguel Azeez only featured as a late substitute for the England u20s in their opening game of the break against Italy, a 1-1 draw. But he got a chance from the start away to the Czech Republic in a friendly match on Monday.

The Arsenal midfielder – currently on loan at Portsmouth – ended up opening the scoring with yet another goal from outside the box.

Long-range efforts are Azeez’s speciality, and this one was a weak-foot shot from the edge of the area. He picked up the loose ball after a tackle by Jay Stansfield in the 15th minute, before turning and curling a shot from the left to the top right corner.

Azeez assisted England’s fourth goal of the game as well. He played a cross-field ball out to Morgan Rogers, who ran into the box and put a shot on target that the defender couldn’t keep out – under pressure from Azeez. It finished 5-0 to England.

You can watch the full match here if you so wish, but if you’re just looking for the goals Azeez was involved in, they’re at 24:35 and 1:43:35 in the video.

Azeez had been struggling with an injury problem ahead of the international break, but he was fit enough to join up with England and now has 90 minutes in the tank ahead of his return to Portsmouth.
