Emile Smith Rowe is set to be the centre of a battle for his next boot sponsor, as his deal with Nike came to an end this summer.

The Athletic report that Emile Smith Rowe is currently at the end of his deal with Nike and reviewing his options.

His previous deal officially expired in the summer, but he has a six-month window where he’s not allowed to wear boots from another brand. After that, all bets are off, and there will be plenty of interest in securing his signature.

It would obviously be beneficial for Adidas to get Smith Rowe on a boot deal, given they already manufacture the Arsenal shirts. Adidas sponsor many of the shirts you can receive with Mystery Football Shirts, with the Gunners among them.

As things stand, Adidas don’t sponsor any of Arsenal’s starting forwards. So they’ll want to change that.

But Puma and Under Armour are also in the mix, and Nike can still match any rival offers until January.

Smith Rowe is obviously going to be a popular player to sponsor. He’s young, he’s homegrown, he’s a future England international and current England u21 international.

The 21-year-old is an Arsenal starter, wearing number 10, and he’s about as clean-cut as footballers come. He has one yellow card in 50 Arsenal appearances. No reds, no social media scandals. He’s perfect for brands to align themselves with.
