Real Madrid reportedly want money from the sale of Martin Odegaard so they can buy Kylian Mbappe from PSG but they might have to do with sending him on another loan.

When Arsenal took Martin Odegaard on loan in January, Real Madrid were adamant there would not be any sort of option for the midfielder.

Upon returning to Real Madrid, they made a big deal of him becoming a first team regular now that Zinedine Zidane has gone but under Carlo Ancelotti, Odegaard isn’t faring much better than he did under the Frenchman. He wasn’t even included in the squad for their opening La Liga game this weekend, hasn’t been given a squad number and his number from last season has been given to Rodrygo.

Realising they don’t actually have any cash and it’s a bit much to keep a player worth around £40m who you don’t ever want to play, they’ve now decided they’d like to sell him. Arsenal, however, don’t have any money, so Odegaard’s agent is in town to discuss a loan with an option included this time.
