Mohamed Elneny is in talks over a late transfer exit, with suggestions that an unnamed Turkish club are interested in him.
Adrian Kajumba reports for the Daily Mail that Mohamed Elneny is one of the players in talks for a move away from Arsenal late in the transfer window. Kajumba claims Elneny could be on the move, after entering the final year of his contract in North London.
This follows a report from TheAFCBell that a Turkish club – not believed to be Fenerbahce – had made a late enquiry for the Arsenal midfielder. The Gunners are open to a sale if they get a decent permanent purchase offer.
Unlike the rest of the deadline-day deals, this one could be set to drag on a bit longer. The transfer window in Turkey doesn’t close until September 7th, so the two clubs still have a bit more time to conclude a deal.
Previous reports of a bid from Watford had been shot down by various sources, and it looked as if Elneny was set to see out the remainder of his Arsenal deal. But after his positive loan spell in Besiktas, it wouldn’t be surprising to see a Turkish club ready to pick him up.
