Arsenal academy graduate Chuba Akpom ended his long stay with the club in 2018, joining PAOK in a permanent deal following six different loan spells away from the Gunners.

It was there that the striker’s career really got going, as he was a regular in the PAOK side that won the Greek Super League unbeaten and he was the winning goalscorer as they lifted the Greek Cup to complete the double in 2018/19.

After another season with PAOK, the former Gunner decided to move back to England and join Championship Middlesbrough, but that transfer didn’t go quite as well. Despite a strong start and a debut goal, Akpom fell out of favour with Boro.

As a result, PAOK and Boro announced on Wednesday that the striker is returning to his former club on loan until the end of the season. If can rediscover his form with them, perhaps they’ll make the move permanent next summer.
