Arsenal, Martin Odegaard, and a summer reunion could become a thing with reports he is thinking about a return to London as the Gunners refuse to give up on bringing him back.

The Spanish media are increasingly starting to suggest Martin Odegaard could still move on from Real Madrid this summer.

The MadridistaReal magazine confirms that whilst Odegaard’s dream was to succeed at Madrid, he is thinking of returning to Arsenal. Neither sources in the player’s camp nor at his club are ruling out a departure.

Another reliable Madrid source, Arancha Rodriguez, claims Odegaard does want to leave, adding: “Let’s see what happens”.

Anton Meana told El Larguero on Monday night that Odegaard’s future is still unknown, it could go down to the wire, and there are offers for him to leave.

One of those offers is almost certainly from Arsenal, with Football.London reporting that Arsenal haven’t given up on signing the playmaker. There is reportedly a belief he’s open to returning to North London, and that Real are happy to listen to any bids.

The Athletic previously reported that Mikel Arteta holds Odegaard in high regard, and the club want to be ready if the player finds himself on the market again.

It looks like Arsenal will try and make a move for the 22-year-old at some point over the next month. He has a couple of years left on his contract, so you’d expect it to be a permanent deal if he does leave Madrid.
