Arsenal have been linked with a move for Patson Daka since at least September 2020 and at one point it was even claimed they were the favourites to sign him, along with Manchester United.

Leicester, however, turned their attentions to the 22-year-old when they ran out of patience with Celtic’s Odsonne Edouard, another player heavily linked with Arsenal.

They completed the deal to sign Daka on 1 July, shelling out £27m for the player who is valued at around £19.8m.

Leicester have also reportedly agreed a two-year deal with free agent Ryan Bertrand whom Arsenal reportedly made an offer to.

It was then reported that Arsenal had ended their in Ryan Bertrand for younger alternative.
