Joe Montemurro has signed former Arsenal goalkeeper, Pauline Peyraud-Magnin from Atletico Madrid.
After two seasons at Arsenal, Peyraud-Magnin has decided not to renew her contract and left for Atletico Madrid in 2020.
After quite a successful first season, she was relegated to the bench following Manuela Zinsberger’s arrival. She started 16 games out of 28 in Arsenal’s title winning season but just 10 from 29 this season, and those were mainly cup ties.
Now, she’s been snapped up by the man who brought her to London, signing for Joe Montemurro at Juventus.
Montemurro, however, showed at Arsenal that he loved to change his keeper every year. First, Anna Moorhouse made way for Pauline Peyraud-Magnin. Then, Sari van Veenendaal made way for Manuela Zinsberger. Then it was Peyraud-Magnin’s turn.
Peyraud-Magnin will wear the number 16.
