Arsenal made an enquiry for Thilo Kehrer earlier in the summer, who could leave Paris Saint-Germain on loan, according to reports in France.
With PSG signing defenders like Sergio Ramos and Achraf Hakimi this summer, the possibility of outgoings at the back is increasing. Foot Mercato report that Arsenal have made an enquiry for Thilo Kehrer, one of those who could be on the way out as a result.
Kehrer was reportedly keen to stay at the start of the summer, but a loan move could end up being on the cards as he now sees his minutes limited by the new arrivals.
There were some reports of an Arsenal bid for Kehrer earlier in the summer, but a loan is what Foot Mercato are reporting.
The 24-year-old can play at both centre-back and right-back, and it’s possible Arsenal are considering him for either position. The need is probably greater in the middle right now, particularly with William Saliba leaving on loan. But if Ben White joins and Hector Bellerín leaves, that might change.
Kehrer made 33 appearances for PSG last season, but only 16 starts in Ligue 1 and none in the Champions League. You’d imagine that situation is only going to get worse with the new additions.
