According to reports in France, Arsenal have submitted an offer of €9m for Thilo Kehrer who is seemingly valued at around £22m.

Thilo Kehrer arrived at PSG for the sum of £33.3m from FC Schalke in the summer of 2018 even though he was only worth around £16.2m at the time.

Now, after watching him drop down the pecking order in his preferred position, Arsenal think they can, at the very least, start the bidding for his services at €9m (approx £7.8m).

To put it another way, Arsenal want him for half what he was worth when PSG paid double his value.

I doubt it will tempt the Parisians, but it has got negotiations started.

Kehrer is a centre-back by trade but has been used more on the right in recent games, the ‘disappointing player’ will allegedly be sold if the right offer comes in. Although he started PSG’s last five Ligue 1 games, he watched his teammates against Barcelona, Bayern Munich and City from the bench in the Champions League.

One report states that the ‘right’ offer would be around €25m. So, some distance for Arsenal and PSG to go before they can agree a deal, it would seem.

The two teams, reportedly, continue to negotiate.
