Real Betis are not going to sign Hector Bellerin this summer, with the transfer seeming impossible at this stage, according to reports.

Mucho Deporte report that Hector Bellerin isn’t going to play for Real Betis next season, barring some dramatic turn of events. The right-back is simply out of the Spanish club’s reach financially.

Betis know that Arsenal aren’t planning to just give the defender away, and they can’t compete with the other offers that are going to come in for him.

More than that, Bellerin would either have to cut his wages dramatically or convince Arsenal to pay 75% of them in order for Betis to afford the player’s contract.

According to the Spanish outlet, Bellerin’s sentimental connection to Betis through supporting the club as a child is not enough to push the signing into the realms of possibility.

Recent reports suggest that Bellerin’s agent is in intense talks with multiple clubs from Spain and Italy. There was also interest from England, but Bellerin himself ruled that possibility out.

Bellerin made 35 appearances for Arsenal in the season just gone, scoring once and assisting four goals.
