Though Hector Bellerin’s representatives are in talks with a number of clubs over a summer transfer, he’s asked them to specifically reject English sides.

TheAFCBell report that Hector Bellerin’s agent is in intense talks with a number of Spanish and Italian clubs after him. At this stage, a move still isn’t close, but they’re studying each proposal carefully.

As well as the interest from abroad, there were also some English clubs asking after him. However, Bellerin told his agent to reject all of them, out of his love for Arsenal.

It’s yet another sign of the class Bellerin shows even when things are going badly.

After losing his hold on a first-choice starting spot at Arsenal in a poor season for the club, it’s not difficult to imagine some resentments growing, but Bellerin is still trying to do the right thing for Arsenal.

We know that Bellerin’s agent met with Real Betis this week, though that deal is looking pretty unlikely at the moment. Betis just don’t have the money for the transfer fee or even for the player’s wages.

There’s a long way to go this summer, with the transfer window not even officially open yet. The window opens for 12 weeks from June 9th until August 31st. Expect the rumours to pick up the pace over the next month or so.
