Lucas Torreira was reportedly offered to Lazio last month as the club and player try to find him a new home.

Although Lucas Torreira made it clear he would like to move closer to home following the death of his mother, he is also said to realise that his immediate future lies somewhere in Europe.

Corriere dello Sport report that Torreira is ‘destined’ to return to Arsenal before heading out on loan again with Simone Inzaghi wanting to bring him to Lazio this summer.

Now, however, Inzaghi is away to Inter Milan, so it remains to be seen if Lazio’s new manager, Maurizio Sarri, will have the same desire. Or if Inzahgi will want to bring Torreira to Milan.

Inter Milan have been previously linked with a move for the midfielder Arsenal signed from Sampdoria in 2018 for £25.79m.

Sevilla are another who have been mentioned, so at least it seems like Torreira, and Arsenal, won’t be short of options.
