According to a report from Italy, Crystal Palace’s offer for Aaron Ramsey has ‘not ‘warmed the Welshman’s heart and he’d quite like a return ‘home’ to Arsenal but it seems all made up.
At the time of writing, two clubs are said to have ‘concrete’ interest in Aaron Ramsey – Crystal Palace and West Ham – although neither seem to have contacted Juventus, who haven’t spoken to any club about the former Arsenal midfielder.
Over the last few days, it has emerged that both Barcelona and AC Milan could be interested as well, but it is Palace who seem to be making the most noise.
Alas, the Eagles look set to be disappointed with Calciomercato writing, “The hope of Juventus is that some new requests may arrive for him, since those previously received have not warmed Ramsey’s heart, above all the one made by Crystal Palace.”
They then add, “The Welshman has in fact decided, his desire is to return to Arsenal. It’s not easy to find the right fit, but it’s not impossible either. And the parties involved are working away from the spotlight to find a square, in the sense that the Gunners ‘ priorities are different.”
Arsenal, they report, are only interested in signing Ramsey for the same price Juventus paid for him – nothing – and the Italians have no intention of letting him just walk out the door for free. So say Calciomercato, anyway, who also note that Juventus wouldn’t mind getting their hands on Folarin Balogun, which isn’t going to happen.
Ramsey is willing to reduce his salary to go ‘home’ but with Arsenal not willing to pay for him, it all seems very unlikely at this point.
Ramsey’a gent, however, has said there is no truth to any of this and, as we’ve been saying all along, Ramsey coming back to Arsenal just isn’t on the table at the minute.
