Arsenal club captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is away on holiday in Mykonos at the moment, but he’s keeping fit ahead of the start of pre-season in under a fortnight.

Aubameyang took advantage of the facilities at local side A.O. Mykonos, joining them for a training session and surprising the club’s academy players.

After completing a training session with the youngsters, he posed for a team photograph (above) and some individual photographs with any players that wanted them. He was then gifted a club jersey as a souvenir.

There’s also some footage of the training session, which you can find here, but it’s only a brief clip taken by someone with a very shaky hand.

It’s nice to see the Arsenal captain making some young footballers’ days, and hopefully giving them a bit of inspiration at the same time. It’s also great to see him keeping up his fitness as we approach the start of the official pre-season preparations.

Pre-season training kicks off on July 7th, and we’ve put together a schedule of Arsenal’s plans for the month of preparation.
