According to David Ornstein, Arsenal have rejected a cheeky £25m bid from Aston Villa for Emile Smith Rowe while Arsenal’s £40m bid for Ben White is expected to be turned down.

Arsenal have zero interest in selling Emile Smith Rowe this summer. We don’t need the Ornacle to tell us that, but it’s good to know for sure that the club hierarchy haven’t found a secret stash of stupid pills to binge on while watching the Euros.

For the record, Emile Smith Rowe is currently only valued at around £16.2m but his new contract should see that value shoot up. Ornstein reports that contract negotiations between the club and the 20-year-old are still ongoing.

Although it has been reported that Arsenal have held ‘positive’ talks with Ben White, and he is keen to join, it is believed their £40m bid will not be enough to tempt Brighton into saying ‘yes’ to the deal.

Ornstein reports that development is not expected to dampen Arsenal’s enthusiasm for the player.
