Sven Mislintat is growing in confidence that he can sign Konstantinos Mavropanos from Arsenal on a loan with a purchase option this summer.

Kicker report that Arsenal seem to be opening the door a bit for Konstantinos Mavropanos to stay in the Bundesliga next season. The hierarchy are ready to agree to a move, and Sven Mislintat has legitimate hopes he can even negotiate a purchase option.

Stuttgart paid €250k to sign Mavropanos on loan last summer, and he initially struggled with injuries at the start of the season. But he’s become a regular and one of the team’s top performers in recent months.

Kicker claim that anything is still possible for Mavropanos this summer.

The report from the German outlet fits with claims from the English media that Mavropanos is likely to go out on loan or a permanent move this summer. For the time being, it doesn’t seem Arsenal have him in their plans for next season.

Mavropanos has shown some good form in 2021. He’s featured in Teams of the Week, he’s earned a senior international debut for Greece, and a nomination for Bundesliga Rookie of the Month in February.

The last few results haven’t been quite so impressive, with Mavropanos involved in four defeats in five games, but Stuttgart are clearly happy with him overall. If Arsenal don’t plan to use him in 2021/22, they should definitely cash in on his progress.
