The Premier League confirmed the nominees for their Goal of the Month award for April on Friday, with Alexandre Lacazette’s effort against Sheffield United joining the list of eight goals. You can vote for it here.

Lacazette scored two nice goals against Sheffield United, but it was the first that really caught the eye. Not just for the finish, but because it was a great example of an Arsenal team goal – a real throwback to the Arsene Wenger era.

Thomas Partey picked up the ball in midfield and played it to Lacazette, who found Bukayo Saka with a first-time pass. Saka played it to Dani Ceballos, who flicked it back to Lacazette, each with their first touch. Lacazette set himself and finished clinically.

The goal is in the below video from 1:54, if you want to watch it again.

Arsenal had very little to be happy about in the Premier League in April, only winning one game and scoring just one goal in the other three matches combined. At least there was one moment to spark a bit of joy.

Lacazette won Arsenal’s Player of the Month award for April as well.
