- Harry Clarke started for Oldham Athletic against Colchester United after recovering from his knock in the previous game. He helped his team to a 5-2 win.

- Matteo Guendouzi played 90 minutes for Hertha BSC against Gladbach in a 2-2 draw.
- Daniel Ballard started for Blackpool away to Lincoln City, playing 90 minutes in another 2-2 draw.
- Zech Medley passed the concussion checks after his last game to return with a start and 90 minutes for Kilmarnock in the third 2-2 draw of the day.
- James Olayinka came off the bench for Southend United against Crawley Town in a 0-0 draw. Olayinka will need minor surgery on his recent groin injury, but the club are putting it off until the end of the campaign.
- Jordi Osei-Tutu finally returned from his long-term injury problems to make the Cardiff City squad on the bench against Blackburn Rovers.
- Mark McGuinness made the bench for Ipswich Town against MK Dons but didn’t come on.
- Konstantinos Mavropanos played the first 61 minutes of VfB Stuttgart’s 3-2 defeat to Borussia Dortmund. He came off when Stuttgart were 2-1 down.

- Joe Willock made the bench for Newcastle United away to Burnley, but he didn’t come on.
- William Saliba played 90 minutes and completed 99% of his passes, helping OGC Nice keep a clean sheet against Stade de Reims.
- Sead Kolasinac dropped to the bench for the first time since joining FC Schalke on loan, coming on for a 16-minute substitute appearance in a rare 1-0 win for the side.
- Lucas Torreira played 42 minutes as a substitute in a 1-1 draw with Real Betis, his first appearance since his special leave to South America for personal reasons.
