Arsenal are preparing a concrete offer for Achraf Hakimi ahead of the summer transfer market, according to reports in Spain.

AS report that Mikel Arteta would welcome the signing of Achraf Hakimi this summer, as the addition of a right-back is one of his priorities for the upcoming transfer window. The same outlet adds that Arsenal are preparing a firm offer for the player.

The Gunners are reportedly looking to seal a move for Hakimi as soon as possible. Real Madrid have a first-refusal option on the player, but they’re currently not planning to activate it, and there’s no sense that Hakimi is set for a return to Spain.

As for Inter, they want €50m for the player. They only signed him last summer, and the sole reason they’re even considering a sale is the fact they’re in a dodgy financial situation.

The Telegraph recently reported that Arsenal will look to sign a new first-choice right-back if Hector Bellerin leaves, and they have an interest in Hakimi. The Athletic wrote in January that the player is open to a move to the Premier League.

Often playing right-wing-back this season, Hakimi has six goals and five assists in 35 matches.
