Seven Arsenal players featured for England’s youth teams over the break, from the u21s down to the u17s. Let’s look at how they did.

England u21s

Unfortunately, we’re starting out on a low note, as Eddie Nketiah and Emile Smith Rowe saw the England u21s eliminated from the Euros at the group stage.

Nketiah started all three matches, though he didn’t complete 90 minutes on a single occasion. He won a penalty for one of England’s only two goals at the tournament, but his team struggled to create chances for him.

Smith Rowe had a quiet debut performance against Switzerland, but started the second game against Portugal in top form. Sadly, he picked up an injury just before half-time and didn’t feature again after that.

England u19s

Miguel Azeez went away with the England u19s and seemed to have a positive training camp with the side.

He played in their friendly match (against the Arsenal u23s!) and helped them to a convincing win – largely aided by the fact so many of Arsenal’s team were away on international duty!

England u18s

Daniel Oyegoke and Hubert Graczyk played 45 minutes each of England’s friendly match against Wales, as the coaches made 10 substitutions at half-time to give everyone a chance.

Both players played their part in a 2-0 win, with Graczyk saving a penalty and Oyegoke helping his side win one with a clever through-ball.

England u17s

Brooke Norton-Cuffy and Zach Awe both started for the England u17s in a friendly against the Watford u23s, which they won 2-1.
