Marcelo Flores began the current campaign as a starter for the Arsenal u18s, but he’s yet to feature in a squad for the side in 2021.

The player hinted on Instagram that he’d be back out on the pitch soon, and Daily Cannon sources have confirmed that he’s been working on recovering from a minor injury.

Though the problem wasn’t anything too serious, the Arsenal medical team were being extra careful with the youngster easing him back.

It’s encouraging to know that Flores is almost ready to return to action now, as he’s certainly a talented member of the young Arsenal side.

The 17-year-old has three goals and one assist in nine u18 PL appearances (seven starts) this campaign, but he also had a major hand in three other goals. He forced two own goals with free-kicks, and won another free-kick converted by Omari Hutchinson.

Flores even got some senior international recognition recently, when the Canada Men’s National Team called him up for a training camp. He’s also eligible for Mexico through his father. For now, he’s just focusing on getting fit and playing for the u18s again.
