Inter Milan are apparently open to the possibility of swapping Christian Eriksen for Granit Xhaka in a rumour that is starting to gather a bit of pace.
Just a few days ago (as you can read below), it was reported that Arsenal could swap Granit Xhaka with Inter Milan for former Tottenham man, Christian Eriksen, who has struggled in Italy since arriving in January.
Now, it is being reported (by Corriere dello Sport, via Sport Witness) that if Arsenal will accept the deal, Inter ‘would not oppose it’.
Arsenal, as we all know, need a creative player. We also need to get rid of Granit Xhaka so on the face of it, this seems like a good deal for all involved.
Given that’s the case, it probably won’t happen.

Arsenal could land Christian Eriksen in January with Granit Xhaka going the other way.
Arsenal have been linked with former Spurs favourite, Christian Eriksen, for a few months now and it seems like there could be the possibility of landing him for the cost of one Granit Xhaka.
As we covered earlier this evening, Arsenal are said to be open to selling Xhaka in the January window if they can get a decent offer for the £25m-rated midfielder they paid £40m for four-and-a-half years ago.
Less than a year after joining Inter Milan, Tuttosport report, via Sport Witness, that the Italians are “hoping to arrange a swap loan deal for Christian Eriksen in January and Arsenal’s Granit Xhaka is one player they are looking at.”
Former Chelsea boss, Antonio Conte, apparently doesn’t really like the Dane and Eriksen needs to play ahead of the Euros in the summer.
A loan is seen as the most viable option given the finances of many clubs, even though Eriksen would apparently prefer to sort out his future permanently as soon as possible.
Arsenal have already reportedly been offered Eriksen for as little as £12m.
Not that their positions are comparable but Eriksen and Xhaka are the same age (28) and both have scored and assisted the same number of goals this season – zero.
Xhaka, however, has played over 1,000 minutes for Arsenal this season, starting eight of their 11 league games. Eriksen has played just 315.
He has started just three league games for Inter and has not yet played the full 90 in any game, including the Champions League.
