Arsenal will be without four players through injury when they face Sheffield United on Sunday but in reality they will have a lot more missing than that.

Arsenal go into Sunday’s Premier League match at the Emirates with six players in the treatment room.

Gabriel Martineli is out with a knee problem, as is Calum Chambers. Shkodran Mustafi has a hamstring problem and Pablo Mari an ankle issue.

Emile Smith Rowe is back in full training and the way it was phrased pre-Liverpool midweek, it didn’t sound like he would be ready this weekend.

Sokratis had a calf problem that seems to have turned into transferitis.

Lucas Torreira is out with a similar problem. Besides, it would be quite hard to play if he really is in Madrid for a medical as reported.

Then, of course, there is Mesut Ozil and Matteo Guendouzi who aren’t injured but won’t be selected anyway.

As for Sheffield United, they have three players missing. Lys Mousset has a what his club say is a ‘rare injury’ in a ligament under a toe that required surgery. He is currently in a protective boot.

Jack O’Connell is most likely out for the season with a knee injury while Simon Moore is also ruled out with a broken finger.
