Alexandre Lacazette confirmed that he is really happy at Arsenal and reiterated what Mikel Arteta said before the game against Fulham – talk in the papers about him being unhappy isn’t coming from the player.

Alexandre Lacazette scored the opening goal of the Premier League season for the second time (2017) when he slotted past the Fulham keeper to get Arsenal on the way to a 3-0 win.

A win, away from home, with a clean sheet and Lacazette on the score sheet. Things really have changed.

After the match, BT Sport snagged him and asked how he was really feeling at the club.

He couldn’t have been clearer:

“I am really happy,” he said. “It’s only the press that says I’m not happy. From the beginning I’ve said I am happy at Arsenal and I want to play and win titles. We won a title last month so I am happy with Arsenal.”
