Bild report that Mavropanos may now extend his loan, despite initially planning to return to Arsenal in the summer. In the last few months, the defender made himself a key figure in his new team, before the league shutdown messed with everyone’s plans.

It won’t be long until Mavropanos is back out on the pitch with Nurnberg, following the confirmation of the DFL’s comeback schedule. While you wait for the 2. Bundesliga to return next weekend, check out Casino Games UK.

Mavropanos knows he’s an important part of his current team, and that – along with the uncertainty surrounding the Premier League and Arsenal – might convince him to stick around. The player himself stayed tight-lipped on the subject.

“If it is possible to end the season, we will see what happens afterwards,” Mavropanos told the German outlet. “I am pleased that the season is to be played to the end and of course I am highly motivated.”

Mavropanos made five appearances for Nurnberg following his loan, helping them to a couple of clean sheets. He had multiple Man-of-the-Match performances and helped them from the relegation zone up to 14th.
