Kicker report that Mavropanos is back in full training with FC Nurnberg. He completed an increased training load without any problems this week. As a result, he is ‘probably’ well enough to face Hannover on Friday afternoon.

Mavropanos missed Nurnberg’s last match with injury, a 1-0 win over Karlsruher SC. He picked up the problem in the previous game against SV Darmstadt, going down in the 10th minute, trying to come back on, before giving up in the 13th minute.

The loanee was on a good run of form before the injury. He won consecutive Man of the Match awards in his second and third game for the club. Then, he made a key goalline clearance in his fourth.

Arsenal fans took notice of his progress, making it all the more disappointing to hear he was back on the sidelines. Hopefully, it was just a minor setback in a positive loan spell overall.

Mavropanos does really need to get a run of games together. His fitness record is extremely inconsistent since joining Arsenal, which is why a loan was important.
