Arsenal are apparently looking at Alphonse Areola as a backup option for Bernd Leno with it seeming unlikely they will make any move to sign Neto despite being linked once again.

On Sunday, we reported that the Gunners were said to have an interest in the Barcelona keeper Neto, who moved to the Spanish giants last summer at a cost of just over £23m.

That, of course, is a stupid amount of money for Arsenal to consider paying for a back up, so now they are reportedly looking at Areola, not the area around a nipple, but the goalkeeper currently on loan at Real Madrid from PSG, who took Keylor Navas the other way.

Again, he is another who seems unlikely to swap a bench in Spain for one in London, but the number of keepers Arsenal are starting to be linked with hints strongly at them looking to replace Emi Martinez, a capable back-up option, with a stronger selection.
