Tyreece John-Jules may still go back out on loan to Lincoln City this season if League One clubs play the remainder of their campaign this summer.

Arsenal and Tyreece John-Jules are keen for the young striker to complete the season with Lincoln City, despite previously recalling him from loan with an injury, according to Football.London.

John-Jules had a rollercoaster of a loan spell with Lincoln after joining them in January. He picked up an injury after his debut, then returned to score in his first home game. After that, he went a few games without a goal then picked up a season-ending injury.

At least, that’s what we all thought at the time. There was no way John-Jules would be ready before the end of the season in May. The 19-year-old returned to Arsenal and thanked the City fans for their support.

It’s fair to say the situation is different now. John-Jules’ loan club may well still be playing matches by the time he recovers, given the delays from the current shutdown. If that’s the case, the player and Arsenal are keen for him to rejoin them again.

On the other hand, Lincoln City’s position is less clear. They don’t have a huge amount to play for anymore, either at the top or the bottom. They may prefer to focus their attentions on individual development over results, reducing their need for loanees.

At least there’s still a chance the young striker might get a few more senior matches this campaign. That’s more than you could say a month ago.
