Atletico Madrid, Real Betis and Sevilla are all planning to bid for Hector Bellerin in the summer transfer window, according to a report in Spain.

La Razon claim Mikel Arteta is planning to bet on Cedric Soares as his starting right-back on the future, and Arsenal are willing to cash in on Hector Bellerin as a result. La Liga clubs Atletico, Betis and Sevilla are all showing an interest in a move for Bellerin.

Sevilla reportedly see Bellerin as a replacement for Jesus Navas, and Betis are preparing for a Barcelona move for Emerson. Meanwhile, Atletico are looking for competition for Kieran Trippier.

The idea that Arteta is already betting on Soares is probably the most far-fetched part of the story.

The Arsenal loanee (as he still is until at least the summer) hasn’t played a game for the club. He spent the first few weeks out with an injury, then the pandemic happened. The January signing barely even spent much time in full training.

Will Soares be able to stay fit when football returns? Will he perform to a good standard? It’s honestly impossible to answer those questions right now. Until then, selling off Bellerin shouldn’t be on the agenda.

Inter Milan are also reportedly in for the 25-year-old if he does turn out to be available.
