FC Inter News report that Inter Milan are looking for a ‘young and quality alternative’ to Antonio Candreva, and that’s drawing their focus to Arsenal’s Hector Bellerin. Inter CEO Giuseppe Marotta reportedly rates Bellerin highly, having followed him previously at Juventus.

Atletico Madrid and Sevilla are also after the defender, though Bellerin would prefer a move to Serie A. The report suggests Arsenal could sell for an adequate proposal.

Bellerin wasn’t featuring a huge amount before the break anyway, though, due to his injury issues. The right-back is still making a slow return to his best after the ACL surgery that kept him out for most of 2019.

The 25-year-old got up to 14 appearances in all competitions this season, but he only played one minute of Arsenal’s two games in March as the medical staff continue to exercise caution with him.

It seems unlikely Arsenal will sell before giving Bellerin a proper run in the team. Injuries are his biggest obstacle right now, but that may not always be the case. We’ll have to wait for football’s eventual return.
