The Mirror write that a permanent move from Real Madrid for Ceballos could now be on the cards. For now, the player is only on loan without an option to buy. However, Arsenal could look to negotiate a permanent deal, and Los Blancos want £36m.

This comes after the player won his place in Arsenal’s starting lineup following the winter break.

Having sat on the bench for four of the first five league games of the year (sitting out of the fifth match entirely), Ceballos started Arsenal’s final three games before the league’s suspension.

The loanee even made it into WhoScored’s Team of the Month after his West Ham showing. Undoubtedly, he was in great form, and the match postponements came at a bad time for him.

Of course, if Arsenal get a chance to have another look at the player before the end of the season, they’re going to want to take every chance they get to evaluate how well he fits in Mikel Arteta’s team. That’s just going to depend on when the football returns.
