Dani Ceballos and Bernd Leno both made it into the WhoScored Team of the Month in March, announced early due to the match suspensions.

With all Premier League matches off until the end of March, at least, WhoScored had no reason to wait before announcing their Team of the Month. Even though most teams only played one or two games in the period.

Arsenal had a particularly short Premier League month, playing just one game against West Ham United. Bernd Leno and Dani Ceballos both played well in that game, enough to make the league-wide team for March.

Leno got an 8.15 rating, after keeping a clean sheet and making a number of crucial saves. Meanwhile, Ceballos’ defensive contribution was the main thing boosting his rating to 8.03. He made five tackles and six interceptions against West Ham.

Unfortunately, Leicester City went one better than Arsenal in the team. They managed to get Harvey Barnes, Marc Albrighton and Jamie Vardy into the lineup.

We’re keeping our fingers crossed that we’ll have another Team of the Month to report on in April.
